Project Overview
Before showing the process of the project, mention that this process was carried out with the key people of the IDB, who helped us to land ideas and concepts that will be presented at the end, along with recommendations and next steps, with the aim of continuing with the project in the future.
Kick Off
In order to start with the project and have a starting point, I held a workshop to learn about the ecosystem and how the organization works, listen to pain points and how the idea of having a platform came about. This gives me an idea of why and how we could provide not only one solution but different ones, or in any case if a digital solution is necessary. So at the end of the workshop I defined what specific outcomes should be achieved by the end of the project and as well the milestones for this project and duration.
Ecosystem Mapping
Ecosystem map is a tool that the Solera team used to understand the relationships and dependencies between the various actors and parts that contribute to creating customer experiences. An ecosystem is these actors, parts and dynamics. The maps reveal areas to optimize in services to deliver the best customer experiences. We needed to get into the deep of customer motivations, hesitations, needs and concerns.
Desk Research
As a next step, we used these method that explores data from existing documents that were provided from the organization. which can provide solid arguments and help the design team to elaborate a line of thought on our ideas. for this we used the internal and external research, the competitive analysis was done while doing the desk research and it was contained in the Pre-read document we handed the team.
Interviews And Visioning Workshop
I conducted interviews lasting 30 to 45 minutes with various organization members to delve into their roles, daily activities, and perspectives on a digital platform solution. These interviews provided valuable insights into their attitudes, beliefs, desires, and experiences. Subsequently, we leveraged these insights to shape a visioning workshop, which involved key stakeholders from the organization and generated diverse outputs for the next phase.
Post Workshop
To distill the insights gathered during the workshop, I meticulously reviewed and categorized each idea, considering various group perspectives. This process led to the identification of four prominent themes: the donor or key user, technical concerns, platform information, and the IDB work team.
I observed recurring concerns across different groups, prompting me to consolidate and transform these insights into questions. These questions were further categorized into traffic light questions to prioritize their impact on concept development. This approach ensures that I address the most critical and actionable questions as I move forward in creating innovative concepts. These questions will serve as a foundation for future discussions with the IDB team.
The Design Concept
The proposed concepts are the result of the entire process that we have had since the end, they are possible routes to be studied in the future, this is with the aim of not proposing the solution but possible solutions that serve as a starting point for testing in a future with the same IDB team.
As a good practice, we also leave out which are the critical points within each concept, which we must ask ourselves in order to carry out one of them or take a little of each one and create a new concept.
