Understand The Product
The initial phase of gathering information for the project involved extensive engagement with various stakeholders within the organization. This encompassed conducting interviews with cross-functional groups comprising developers, business representatives, project managers, and customer experience teams. These collaborative discussions served as a crucial starting point for gaining an in-depth understanding of the product, its functionalities, and intricacies. Through these interactions, I not only identified potential issues but also gathered valuable insights and essential information that formed the foundation of our research and investigation.
Defining The User
This information provided me a clear target and perspective for design and development efforts. Understanding the user's needs, behaviors, and pain points ensures that the final product is tailored to their requirements, enhancing usability and satisfaction. This user-centric approach ultimately leads to a more effective and successful solution that aligns with user expectations and business objectives.
Competitive Analysis
When choosing companies for a competitive analysis of TalentReef, it's important to consider factors such as target audience, reputation, and the feature of managing different users.
Some companies to consider might be those that have a similar target audience and product offering as TalentReef, such as Paradox, Greenhouse, ADP or other enterprise software that has user management. Additionally, companies with innovative features for tables may also be worth considering.
Decide And Prototype
Following thorough validation sessions involving various stakeholders, including legal experts, we proceeded to present the final prototype for testing. It's important to emphasize that the UX process continues beyond this stage, as the design team and stakeholders engage in discussions regarding the MVP (Minimum Viable Product) definition.
Testing And Findings
As a result of my interviews I informed to the client that it is recommended that UAM simplifies user addition to a single method, provides role templates, and clarifies "Disappearing permissions." Roles improve consistency and ease of user creation. Clients value best practices and bulk actions for an enhanced experience. Searching should be streamlined, and admins must have import/export capabilities. Recycling users across accounts is beneficial. Ensuring a positive, uniform, and self-explanatory experience is crucial. UAM should offer best practices and a user account change history review feature.
